SALT ROOM CHIROPRACTIC TREATMENTS- A NEW REVOLUTIONARY APPROACH TO BRONCHITIS
TREATMENT
The Salt Rooms has been designed to help bronchitis sufferers relieve their symptoms and feel
better in a safe, peaceful environment that feels more like a spa than a high tech treatment facility.
Every year, more than 10 million people in the U.S. suffer from bronchitis. It takes its toll
on both adults and children alike. Prescription drugs can bring temporary relief but they can’t prevent the disease
from striking you again. Salt therapy is a drug free treatment that not only brings relief but prevents
reoccurrence over time.
If you are suffering from acute or chronic bronchitis, salt therapy at The Salt Room will
help you overcome the disease by clearing your lungs from accumulated mucus making it easier to breath. Salt
therapy will also improve the functioning of your lungs. As your respiratory tract widens and clears, your coughing
too subsides. If you are suffering from cold as well, salt therapy will open up your nasal airways and reduce
sneezing. Salt therapy will bring relief by reducing the inflammation of your lungs and kill bacteria. Large
amounts of mobilized mucus that had been blocking the bronchioles will be expelled. Treatment in the salt rooms
will also decrease your dependence on prescription drugs and will help your bronchitis.
What is Bronchitis
Bronchitis is an inflammation of the bronchial tubes, or bronchi, that bring air into the
lungs. Inflammation is a chemical reaction in the body that produces redness, swelling, and pain.
Bronchitis can be caused by:
-Viruses
-Bacteria
-Smoking
-Breathing in certain kinds of irritating chemicals
When the cells lining the bronchi are irritated, the tiny hairs (cilia) that normally trap
and eliminate things from the outside stop working. Formation of material associated with irritation (inflammation)
also increases; causing the passages to become clogged.

There is currently no cure for chronic bronchitis. Most treatment is focused on making
the symptoms less severe and trying to prevent further damage.
Types Of Bronchitis
There are two types of bronchitis:
- Acute bronchitis usually lasts only a few days. It is often caused by a viral infection and may
begin after you develop a cold or sore throat. It usually produces no long-lasting, harmful effects.
- Chronic bronchitis is diagnosed when a person has too much phlegm in
the airways, which leads to a persistent, productive cough. An individual is considered to have chronic
bronchitis if cough and sputum (matter that is coughed up from the lungs) are present
on most days for a minimum of three months for at least two successive years, or for six months during one
year.
How Chiropractic Care Benefits Bronchitis Sufferers
Patients with manifestations of upper respiratory infection, especially those in the
pediatric age group, frequently present to chiropractic clinics. Case reports frequently describe rapid improvement
in upper respiratory symptoms following adjustment of minor vertebral subluxations, especially in the cervical
spine. Upper respiratory infection is a general description of a group of conditions which includes common cold,
bronchitis, etc.
Vertebral subluxations, particularly in the cervical spine, which produce associated muscle
spasm, could therefore be the cause of stasis or restriction of the lymphatic drainage from the head and neck. As a
consequence, the body would be unable to clear bacteria and viral pathogens to which it is constantly exposed
through the mouth and respiratory passages. As a result, the patient with either transitory or chronic cervical
subluxations would be more likely to suffer from on-going upper respiratory infection rather than being able to
clear the infection through the normal processes of phagocytosis and lymph drainage.
